Interns of the eighth generation begin their practice in the Centre

    05. july 2010.
Predrag Petrovic presents the methodology of mapping and monitoring to new generation of interns
In the course of the same day, certificates were awarded to interns of the seventh generation

On Monday, July 5, 2010 interns of the eighth generation started their practice in the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP). They were welcomed by BCSP team, led by Education Coordinator Djordje Popovic. After Djordje presented the outline of their induction day, and Gorana Odanovic provided a brief introduction into Centre’s activities, researcher Maja Bjelos delivered a presentation of the concept of security sector reform. Research Coordinator Predrag Petrovic then presented the updated methodology behind Centre’s strategic project “Mapping and Monitoring”.

Their colleagues Sasa Djordjevic, Marko Milosevic and Marko Savkovic closed this day’s programme by speaking of their respective projects/areas of responsibility and their expectations of the interns themselves. BCSP announces that in the course of the by mid July, another feature will be added to its web site due to the contributions made by interns: a blog on issues related to security sector reform in the broadest of terms.

And finally, Monday was a day for friends since the interns of the seventh generation completed their programme in the BCSP. As a proof of their contribution, they received certificates. We are glad to say that out of ten interns who began their practice in February 2010, five found their employment in their field of study in little less than six months.
